Hello Mycotopians,
Moments ago the following strains were put into wet paper towel Durban Killer Cookies, Cream, Gorilla Cookies, and Afghan Kush Ryder. All of these are auto's, fairly old seed, and some may even be used for breeding.

I forgot to check the mail today until just now. Low and behold Sour 60 seeds arrived from New420guy so a few of those went into wet paper towels as well.

It is wild all the different combinations of genetics out there! Good luck can't wait to see how they do. What type of light set up are you using?

I used to rock old school mars hydro lights back in the day, never got into a cob configuration, but QB setups are too easy to put together, and can literally fry plants they are so powerful. Are you in a 2x4... 3x3? I usually get freebie auto's that I let build up, and then I'll do an auto run for shits and giggles. I'm not an auto grower though, photo feminized fan for a long time now, or clones here and there but I'm a seed guy through and through no doubt. Is this a soil grow or Coco or.... Give up the DEETs Cannabis Compadre.

I only grow auto's. Cobs are nice because you can configure one above each plant. QB's are also nice but are a bit more expensive and the ts1000 was on discount for black friday. I have 4 tents 3x5, 3x3, 2x2, and a 3x2 2 in 1 tent partitioned into a 2x2 flowering + 1x2 drying area. Only the 2 in 1 is in use though.

This grow has already had some problems. Unfortunately I was sick when the potential plants were in sprouting stage and didn't notice the top of soil had dried. Even though this unfortunate event happened most pulled through.
Living - Durban Killer Cookies, Sour 60, and Cream,
Dead - Afghan Kush Ryder, Gorilla Cookies

Sorry to hear about the losses.....
I am however excited to see your progress updates on the remaining plants. I am hoping to learn something about autos from you folks, as I have failed miserably with any I tried in the past.

I lost track of when exactly day 1 started so as an estimate 12/25/22
The plants are all doing well. I over fertilized once 1.5 tsp max dose is supposed to be 2tsp MaxiGro. Cream in particular was slightly burnt on lower leaves.
Edit: So I was reading a forum post about finishing drying/curing in the freezer. What it said to do was hang dry from a few days then put the bud in an open container then into the house hold frost free freezer. Just so happens I had some bud from an OG Kush auto that wasn't entirely cured so I decided to give it a try. The buds were put in a monster box then into the freezer for 3 weeks.

On the chore list this morning is de-seeding jem grown in a 6" pot. These were true dwarf type auto's growing less than 1.5' tall. Here a picture nearing the end of it's cycle.
Pretty good frost on this bud for such an old strain. The original cross was made more than 10 years ago.
Edit: Ended up with 1/2 full 3"x3" baggy full of seeds. Into the freezer they went with the rest of my seed stash.

The first male and female Durban Cookies started flower/stretch yesterday. Since I want small fast auto's these two will be for seed. Also accidentally knocked a plant pot and all upside down while watering. It lost a couple branches and leaf matter but looks like it'll live. Few...

Tallest is maybe 9" Short and fast is the goal anyways just gotta work on the fast part.
If you wanna know something funny these may not actually be durban cookies because I don't remember growing them at the same time. Haha I tend to lose track of shit when it's not labeled. Actually I just went through old grow journals it is.
Also I'm delving into the wonderful world of photoperiod strains indoors for the very first time. Mostly for breeding fun.The plants are vegging under a new ts 1000 day 1 was yesterday 3 Iranian and 6 Guerilla Gold 2. The seeds were a few years old so I decided to do a seed run and maybe cross.

Had to cull the cream it just kept growing taller and taller.
Here is what is left over 2 Durban Cookies plus the male and female isolated in a different tent. The male's days are numbered only a few more and it'll get chopped too.
