So I've wondered about this since it happened and I've never asked. Lots of experts here that have taken many shroom rides.

When taking that 12g tea it started with me only drinking half and then sitting a few minutes then decided to go ahead and go for it.

After I finished the next 6g a voice in my head clearly said, "Remember, you asked for this". This voice was female and it was as clear as if she was standing right in front of me.

I also heard this voice during the ride. Sometimes talked and sometimes giggled. The voice reminded me I'd been there before, not like where I was taking the ride, but in the ride itself. There was a familiarity to it.

I've read about auditory hallucinations and I suppose that could be it. The "Remember, you asked for this" was too bizarre.

If you have an opinion I'd really like to hear it.

Peace and good vibes! Stay warm!

12g of tea is a hell of a ride.  Tea trips are my favorite method for going big with mushrooms, as trying to eat that much weight is a surefire recipe for gastric distress, at least for me it is.

The closest thing to auditory hallucinations I've ever experienced was the impression that I could visually see sound waves from a drum beat radiating along a wall, like the expanding rings on a disturbed body of water.  But even though that had an audio portion to it, it was still more of a visual hallucination.

I have definitely thought "Remember, you asked for this" before while tripping hard, but I can't say that I've ever heard it as a voice.

Very interesting experience RiseUp, thanks for sharing it.

I once tried some salvia divinorum and had a similar auditory hallucination.

Upon smoking some of the herbal material, a female voice began to say to me, "I will never let you go" - several times in a row. Then the deep, weird, trip happened. This voice did not seem to be coming from "inside my head". It sounded quite audible and real due to the reverb and acoustics of the room I was in. I'm not sure I have the imagination to supply that kind of depth and texture to a hallucination so I always chalked it up to "real" or actually audible.

Years later I was taking mushrooms and smoked some DMT at the peak of the experience. On that occasion, I also heard a (seemingly audible) voice but it seemed to be coming more from inside my head as opposed to being actually audible.

But given that the nature of sight and sound is actually a construct of the brain - hallucination - what do we actually see or hear in any given situation?

I once drank a tea of 14grams of cubensis but didn't hear any voices. I did, however, wind up cowering under the bedsheets sobbing for awhile before coming back to base-line.

Constructs of the brain... Hmmmmm.

As for the female voice, She has been there for me a few times. It's also why I refer to God as a "She". The first time I heard that female voice, was on the first over the top complete breakthrough DMT experience I ever had. When I was in the place of the green grid of energy, her voice was there for a while and sounded coldly professional. Much like a female voice reading off departures and arrivals in an airport or something of that sort. After that on some deep mushroom trips she was there, dancing sensuously and sending her angel voice through every fiber of my being, and I found her there several more times on good mushrooms.

I also found that the immense presence that seemed to fill the room on a few of my cactus journeys was also most certainly female, maybe a different one, maybe a different representation. BTW I have had some strange auditory hallucinations on Cactus. The first time it was very distracting to me, and for some reason I fixated on the Hadron Supercollider gradually cycling up from a deep bass thrum that I could feel in my chest and teeth to a powerful humming that seemed to be generated by great power, like maybe the sound of the earth itself.

Constructs of the brain... That one I am not sure of at all, having been married to a woman who gets information that obviously did not come from within her brain, or at least obviously to me. I have also experienced things outside of myself while completely sober that did not come from within the bone helmet at the top of my neck. I have often thought of the brain as more of a receiver of the Akashic field than as the entity generating these things. Very interesting rabbit hole to go down.

Thanks for sharing.

Reminds me of a weird time when tripping and walking outside. I heard screaming but didn't know if it was out or inside! I assumed that it was in the mind space so I kept walking casually lol.

From reading what everyone has said and taking their experiences into account, it seems like these real auditory hallucinations are an effect of psychedelics, but may happen while sober too. It is the case for many of "us others" that there is a counter gender-ed soul-thing in our experiences which is the experience itself. The age might not be a constant thing for I,often times, see mothers and grandmothers as the experience. The experience many times seems to be the telling of myths or memories.

Carl young said this about the soul when he was going through some experience stuff.

“you are boys, your God is a woman. If you are women, your God is a boy. If you are men, your God is a maiden. The God is where you are not. So: it is wise that one has a God; this serves for your perfection. A maiden is the pregnant future. A boy is the engendering future. A woman is: having given birth. A man is: having engendered.”

I suppose I should clarify. My statement was not intended to dismiss the "reality" of any information, voices, visions.............'cause I've had 'em too.

I just think our brains - having all been trained in varied places and cultures - tend to filter and translate data in a manner that is perceivable to us based upon our brain's life-experience.

I've had distinctively Judeo-Christian experiences with DMT where I met the Creator and Its Host. While the experience was very profound to me (and actually was the motivation for me to accept a Christian baptism through mainstream church - after years of poo-pooing religion as a whole) it might not resonate with others.

In this DMT experience, the Entities seemed to be a mix of male and female. The Creator was neither He nor She so I referred to the Creator as "It" while absorbing the experience. This ties in with the bible before it was translated into other languages. Elohim (They) did all of the creating in the first chapter - YHWH (He - appointed from among They) created the garden and mankind in His own image.

Thoroughly confused yet? I was too until I took some major deep-dives and began to ask real questions.

I have definitely thought "Remember, you asked for this" before while tripping hard, but I can't say that I've ever heard it as a voice.

In my post I said 'as if she were in front of me', but she was really behind me if I'm going to be accurate. Clear as day though. Also during the ride she was behind me.

I remember a bright white light. It came from behind me, or that's how it felt. Like a door was raising up and a bright white light was shining from within out onto my floor in front of me. Felt in awe.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

These were also cubensis and I also ended up in bed sobbing. Once the sobbing and seeing what I suppose were "visions" stopped then the overwhelming gratitude sank in and it was beautiful. Going outside and looking up at the stars was an incredible unforgettable experience.

Thank you sharing those experiences.

The first words of "remember, you asked for this" were just to the point. It only caught me off guard because it happened right after I set my cup on the counter.

During the ride her voice was like someone I knew. She laughed in a playful manner when I asked questions because she said I've asked those same questions before.

Bone helmet! Awesome. Never heard it described that way, but now I have new words to use.

Did some reading about the Akashic field and it's quite interesting. I'll read into some more. Enjoy learning about different things.

I checked into this a little and came across Psalm 82. Reached out to a Hebrew friend of mine and asked that he translate the scripture for me and what it means for him.

I'd like to read more about some of the questions you asked and the answers you've found that have resonated with you.

Yes I can expand! Where did I loose you?

Us others just being us psychedelic people with psychedelic experiences. I used it as a play on 'nosotros' and how we as psychedelic people are un-common.

I learned about the idea of a counter-gendered soul from Carl Jung. He had experiences in dreams and visions where he had some very psychedelic things happen to him like him reliving myths. He talks about it in his books, especially that quote from the red book.

In my experiences there are male, female and other entities however I feel that I am guided more by femaleness in my experiences.

I understand "us others" now. When you mention mothers and grandmothers are you speaking from a ride, or in your life?

I haven't read any Jung. I've ran across him numerous times in my life though in conversations and reading. Not sure why I haven't picked up a book. Maybe life is telling me to pick up a book.

I'm really limited in my rides. I don't recall ever having a female voice in one. This one was really familiar though and felt like a friend. Could be the ride, or could be a veil over my eyes not allowing me to see the part of the reality that is unseen. I prefer to think the latter, but I've been wrong a lot and don't mind admitting it.

Maybe life will bring another ride my way one day. Currently not doable, but maybe one day.

Received a reply today. It was a song written by Aspaph. I asked if male or female and it was a male. Referring to psalm 82.

Many Christians don't read the old testament in the way it was meant because it's Jewish culture. My friend is orthodox, was super strict, but now only covers the fridge with a sheet and doesn't lock it during Passover.

I've gone through different ways to communicate with "it" in my life. The way that resonates with me currently is closer than before. I agree with using "it" because there are no words to describe "it".

Also sent me a website. Chabad.org --- not sure if that interests you or not, but wanted to share.

The red book can be pretty entertaining to read! I'd definetly reccomend!

For my mention of mothers and grandmothers I am talking about the experience. Just a place where grandmothers are and they all know folk medicine and do stretches. Very helpful if you have a sore body!

The Red Book is a trip in itself. Thanks for the recommendation. When finished I'll have to read again. It's going to have many parts I miss. Been nice to hang with Jung during this time period, but I'd be sober because he goes down some seriously deep rabbit holes.
