Any tips on growing Psychotria viridis in a Mediterranean climate? I'm thinking a (large reserve) self watering pot and mildly acid mix. Part shade. Possibly 50% shade cloth.

Anyone got any other tips?

I grew some awhile back, they love humidity and any soil will do, acidity just increases the nutrient uptake. They arent to picky and will adjust to any climate. Drier climates will cause the leaves to wax over and mutate from stress but they will still grow fine in that state.

I kept a plant alive for 5 years in the american midwest before i gave it away as a gift so if it can survive the dry midwest winter im sure youll be fine.
