I started a DMT extraction journey literally a year ago.
It has been an on-and-off thing, as I have time.
I created a thread way back when to track my progress, but I chose to start a new thread to ensure that all relevant information is in one place at the same time.
This will be long, and I apologize for that, but I want to make sure that I provide all the information I can in an effort to figure out where I may have gone wrong.
I won't bother including specific dates. My understanding is that DMT extraction isn't "time sensitive", per se.
But, for interests sake, this process occurred between Feb 2022, and Feb 2023.
Acid to base...
Here goes...

Process the Mimosa hostilis root bark
COOK 1
100g MHRB
3 cups water
1/2 cup vinegar
3 hours in slow cooker on high
liquid strained out
COOK 2
MHRB
2 cups water
1/2 cup vinegar
3 hours in slow cooker on high
liquid strained out
COOK 3
MHRB
2 cups water
1/2 cup vinegar
3 hours in slow cooker on high
liquid strained out
= approx 2 L stock solution

soft simmer of stock solution, couple of hours... 2 L simmered down to almost 2 cups pretty easily

little bit less than 2 cups of MHRB stock solution
added 70g sodium hydroxide, slowly, over time
turned grey, turned black, started to smell like fish, then like concentrated bleach, was quite hot for a while
added 200ml zippo lighter fluid, mixed occasionally, let sit for approx 24 hours

This step is more for informational purposes only...
transferred into seperator funnel, mixed occasionally, let sit...
tried to separate... funnel got clogged...
removed from funnel... cleaned funnel... transferred again into funnel, this time filtering...
funnel got clogged again...
removed from funnel... gave up... ordered a glass turkey baster

pulled zippo lighter fluid off with glass baster, put in glass dish, covered with foil, put in freezer

took out of freezer after 24 hours
saw 'some' crystalization (not as much as expected based on Cantelmo's videos)
drained zippo lighter fluid
covered with paper towel and put in cupboard to completely evaporate zippo lighter fluid
no crystals visible after reaching room temp and drying out after a few days

added 30g more sodium hydroxide to aqueous solution
added zippo lighter fluid back in and mixed (reused)

pulled zippo lighter fluid off with glass baster, put in glass dish, covered with foil, put in freezer for 24 hours

took out of freezer, poured off lighter fluid
no obvious crystals, but 'something' may be there (see picture attached)
dried
'something' seems to be gone once dried
set into cupboard to evaporate more

once dried, no crystals visible
So that is where I am at right now.
I haven't thrown anything away.
I still have all the product from all the steps (thanks Phineas!)
I don't know why I barely saw any 'crystals', and why they basically disappeared when thawed.
Any thoughts about where I may have gone wrong?
Full disclosure, I was pretty much following Cantelmo's videos almost word for word.
