I have some Ecuador hippie Tek ingredient jars colonizing and they just won't finish up. There's this goop on the bottom and I'm starting to think it's contamination but I'm hoping for a second opinion.

I think they're trash... I'll prob just bury them in the backyard

Might just be a bit wet ... like bacterial infection but not too bad. If you left it long enough it would probably colonize over that. At least it's not green meanie mold. It looks like you didn't put verm layer at the bottom? That can be good to catch any extra moisture kicking around.

You could either wait it out and let it colonize ( I would recommend that and finishing colonizing with jar upside-down)
Or you could birth it and knock that bit of uncolonized cake off and cover the whole bottom with wet verm DEC

Either way you should be good.

Ok cool, thanks for the response. I'll leave them as is, they deff look wet in the jar... Think I need to mix the ingredients better.

Turn it upside down and give it a half-tap/slap  to make it (the cake) come just a hair off the bottom of the jar...to give it air there and then colonize the jar on it's side or upside-down.
