6 jars of wheat, fully colonised with Psi Azurescens.
I am assuming the next thing is hydrated, pasteurised hardwood chips, initially in a litter tray then outside when that gets colonised?

You can follow these posts for information, but in short I suggest a gourmet style method, either resulting in trays or outside buried-cased.

Pasteurised for how long (or can I skip pasteurising and put them in a bed outside?)

OK, scratch that. I'll make a litterbox of unpasteurised but soaked chips.

Sorry I missed your comment. Yeah just soaked is fine for outdoors. Pasteurized is always good but soaked is okay for outdoor use. A good long 2 day soak is preferable and then a decent drain. You don't want the chips too wet. Woodchips and shedded straw combo works great. Can you get a bit of straw? If not , no biggie. Also ripped up chunks of cardboard/egg-carton are a great additive in a bed.
