thank you for your blessings reverend,

always great when the cloth adds the seal of holy approval :)

Im so surprised at how many mods have hit this thread and left comments I am so truly honored.

Im gonna keep going folks, give me ideas and I will document and make a thread using a specific tek or idea. Im willing to try almost anything and would love to learn something new.

My goal is to spread this knowledge!

great pic
i think i'll make it the first nominated for
november's pic of the month.
your pic nicely shows the scale by contrasting the log,
your tek seems to me to by a sort of synthesis
that blurs the line between logs, invitro, obire,
and maybe even a few more [chronic tek & monotubs come to mind too]
flexible terrarium meets invitro bags
uber-cool

can you get more than one flush w/ this method? would you do a dunk of the bag?

this is the first time i did this

im thinking you would deffinietly get more then one flush

and dunking is unexplored territory for me doing this as well

I would think dunking this 50 pound bagh would be a monumental task of sorts...

Something to consider if it does not flush well....

Heres todays update

DAY 4 mycelial growth on BAG
Day 6 on the LOG

agreed. 50lbs is a biggun. i might try a smaller version that would be more dunkable.

how about air exchange? could i substitute glued on tyvek or vacumcleaner bags cut into squares or something similar? i dont care much for polyfill--not sure why.

thanks for sharin. this looks cool and i hope you have a huge success!:eusa_clap

I posted todays update again...
stro says he cant see it so lets try this

DAY 7 on the LOG and Day 5 On the BAG

Notice if you examine between other pics you can really see the amazing growth mycelium will have in just a 24 hour period. A good gauge is flip between the other previous day pics and observe, also look closely on the log there are x's you can use them as a gauge as well. I am estimating the mycelium is growing at a rate of 1-2 inches per 24 hour period as of current.

We are getting close now... Im excited

I dont see why not. As long as there is some filter to block comtams and allow airflow. Maybe your idea is an improvement to the process?

I wouldnt use tyvek as it has the trait of absorbing moisture and in other threads i have spoken about tyvek wicking contams into the bag/jars.

I wouldnt use it, but i have seen people use it on there tub so who knows.. The directions above call for polyfil which is cheaper and far easier to find then tyvek..... well asside from postal tyvek but i wouldnt use potal tyvek if you paid me.....

I wouldnt see it as an improvement though...
