I have 2 Casings
1. WBS with Thin layer of top and bottom Peat/Veri Mix ( it was All I had to work with) and the top of it is Nice and white boredering on a crystalline life form. Its pretty much even did not patch it. Toward Center its a little darker than around the sides its more white. I used one Qt of WBS on this one.
It has been in the fruiting chamber for coming up on 2 weeks. No Sign of Pins.
2. The second one was made with a thick layer of Peat/Veri mix on Botton and top. Took about 5 days extra in the incubator to get it to deveoped as far as the first one. It is a Drarkish color with white Crystaline Life forms poping out every where. It was made with 2 Qts Rye. It is 5 days behind the 1st thin casing. As of 2PM there are Pins Every Where TOOO MANY TOOO Count.
Did I let the first casing develop too far before placing in the fruiting chamber, or is there that big a difrence between using 2Qt of Rye w/Thick Peat/Veri VS 1 Qt WBS w/Thin Peat/Veri ???? As far as development of Pins go.
I tried to compensate for the diffrence by the amount of Peat/Veri I used.
Please give me your best guess.
I will post picutres later tonight.
As soon as I figure out How. :eusa_wall
This is anoying I can build a computer from spare part but have had little to no experice with digital pictures and posting.

That's another crossroad where experience comes into play..If the substrate
is well hydrated then nothing needs to be done ...If it seems drier than optimum - a flood or dunk can help alot...Sometimes sprinkling on a very thin, open and corse layer of verm can protect further surface drying and stimulate pin formation....
