I have an odd growth on one of my cakes, it looks like a mycelium tumor that is sort of clear. This is more apparent after a dunk that came after the first flush. It has been there since birthing. I am assuming its just a large build up of mycelium.

I wish I could post pics but my camera broke.

Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks Mycos!

hmm, it'd be alot easier with a pic.
is the growth firm, dry
or wet, squishy ?

Thanks for taking the time Hip.

Its firm but not rock hard. ANd is is dry.

Sory, I wish I could post a pic, but not an option till I come up with the cash for a camera.

sounds like just a tissue deformity,
perhaps a bit of bacteria or chemical residue, i wouldn't be too concerned.

Thanks again Hip!

Its not getting any bigger and I think that it is turning more white.

I just thought it was odd more than anything.

Damn, I shure wish my I still had a camera, I loved taking pics of mushies.
