Primordia appears to be forming and the myc is actively colonizing the verm casing. My cam isn't good enough to provide pics of the primordia but as soon as there are pins, I will go over and snap a shot them.

Keep them out of drafts. I've had flush after flush of mexicana that get just to the point of opening the caps, then abort. I may abandon my greenhouse in favor of a terrarium for these. Just something to think about.

Still waiting, and my freind has never myc colonize verm this well except on DEC cakes.

from this point on
do you treat the mex a fruiting the same as you would cubes
as far as temp and rh?

He's keeping em at 68-70 F and RH swings from 70-90 depending on how often he fans and leaving the lid of the tub ajar which has worked with cubes but he has never tried fruiting this species so it is all experimental. The stones are awesome.

seems to be very similar to the cube type conditions
