i'd have gotten the print first then made the jars.

yep, that's what I should have done, but I guess I was just too anxious and wanted to have everything set!

problem being no sterilization ever kills every single microbe,
a few will survive and begin to replenish their ranks..
i recommend refrigerating your jars now
until you are ready to inoculate .

To do all this with out a print it is called anxiety.

So you have 3 layers of tinfoil?

If not you will need to put on the last layer rubber bands also because when you will inoculate you will make holes in the first layer, I prefer to do 4 small holes in the first layer with the syringe more than take it off to inoculate, less exposure is better.

Yes refrigerate them but put them inside a sterilized and sealed container or plastic bag with Lysol
So they don’t get espoused to the refri bacteria

putting your jars in a sealed container with lysol proly isn't the best thing...
such extremes are not needed and can actually cause deformities/inhibit germination, etc.

I think tonight I'll make another batch of jars I can get, so I'll sterilize those as well -the PC is kind of small-, so those jars will be better sterilized i guess. The Jars are in a sealed plastic container, sprayed with 10%alcohol/90%water mix, although I can't use the fridge.

Did you let the spores dehydrate for atleast one day ?
Then you should expect germination in 3-5 days from now...


Next time don't hold that jar like that,just let it stand still on the table,..you don't wanna mess around with that 'top' verm. layer !
But don't worry..you should be fine !

Oops! Totally forgot about the dehydratation thing, but still have solution in the syringe and tonight i'm going to sterilize 3 more jars with substrate to inoculate tomorrow, so I'll try to make those as perfect as possible.

I had to hold the jar like that because I was inside the glovebox and there wasn't enough room.
