mmmmmmmmmmmmmm good.

Some onion, potatoes, crystal hot sauce, garlic, and salt. Cook all that at a low boil for about 30 minutes then add the crawfish for about 5 minutes.

Yeah if your not prepared to see it it can look pretty gross when someone sucks the heads, but they sure are good!

crawdads <ecrevisse> are delicious. i always catch my own in a minnow seine and throw them in an aerated galvanized tub for a week to get clean. once in awhile i can get fresh softshell crawdaddies and theyre great with much less work, avoid the frozen asian product.....disgusting and smells like hooker crotch.

We used to catch them growing up in N.C. in fresh water creeks and streams. You find them by flipping over rocks and allowing the holes to clear up so you could see them. They are kinda fast if you're not quicker than they are. They do taste damn good! It's a good treat with dinner when you're camping. They make good large mouth bait also.

 I've seen people do that also. It doesn't look very appetizing to me either! My grandmother likes to eat all of the fat inside of blue crabs too. Man, she tears that shit up! She even get a thin knife and gets all of the wierd fat from inside of the points of the shell. Eeek.

Are those Gulf crawdads Dial8?

They are fresh water crawdads. They actualy came from a little farm creek in Louisiana. There they use little traps that are baited with chicken gizzards or necks.

Those look sooo yummmy. I haven't had some of those in years. It is prolly good for me since I am allergic to shell fish. But the torment is that I LOVE the taste of em and all shellies when fresh and cooked right.

They farm raise them in China. They taste horrible. The fresh water ones are the best IMO. Gulf ones even taste a little funky IMO as well.
