here's some pics of blue ringers (Psilocybe stuntzii) i found around x-mas day.
they've been ID'ed as stuntzii by mjshroomer himself and a few others. these specimens are somewhat rotted but new pins have formed and i'm waiting til they mature to pick for spore prints and bioassay.
just a heads up that the season isnt over yet.
here's a new picture of themushrooms in the outdoor pic, which were picked.
they now show bluing on the mycelium on the bottom of the stems. the blue ring is also visible.

Stuntzii (blue ringers) in late december in Seattle.

If you run into any extra prints.....:eusa_ange

some of them were printable but because of the amount of debris on them i decided not to. there is a pinset still growing and as of tonite there is a new group of tiny pins starting (probably from the rain tonite). these ones look more promising for printing and ummmm enjoying. hopefully noone kicks these new ones over as they did the last ones. all pics were taken "as is", i had no hand in creating the bad condition they were in.
i'd gladly send you a print llama, and maybe you could help me out with a cyan print if possible because i havent even seen a cyan this season.
i'll post pics of the newer ones as they grow, but here's a nice pic of them as of yesterday.

then next few days are ideal for stuntzii. if you wanna find some go hunting in mulch beds and new lawns (such as campuses and new condos). i'm planning a hunt sometime this week (thurs-sat) to hunt for some end of the season stunztii and cyans.
