Then he starts asking about advice on what to do with the wine, instead of sticking to a recipe he knew worked.
Seemed awfully pre-loaded to me.

To believe that the mycelium can infuse a half gallon of juice with enough
magic to consume , is a real stretch for me...i dunno...

If I may interject, I would be highly dubious of the claims of Amanita muscaria mycelium growing in this manner. It would seem highly unlikely as well, given the evidence of large 'sacs of spores'. This sounds like an ascomycete to me, and I don't know of any mycorrhizal basidiomycetes completing their lifecycle in the absence of a host plant. Mycorrhizal species tend to grow very slowly in culture.
Still, there is something to the observed growth attributable to inoculation with A. muscaria. Perhaps we are seeing a mycelial complex here. One way to test this would be through molecular analysis. Anyone have access to a DNA sequencer? Otherwise the observed effects of the brew may be just that- a mushroom tea made with A. muscaria. But, maybe there are some other fungal alkaloids with mind-altering effects being produced using this technique. This is where we need the trip reports.

That's a summary kind of trip report, and it doesn't sound like other descriptions of amanita tripping I've read before from veteran consumers of this genus. To me anyway that statement implied refreshment or lightheartedness, like it was a really good beer, not a body-loaded ami trip.
The very idea of drinking a "glass of mucor" kind of freaks me out after reading that thread about the guy who lost his face to a mucor infection.
Maybe something similar (or exactly like) ergot is being grown here? Maybe, if mucor doesn't happen to infect your face (very rare), it provides a pleasant buzz? Do we know that it doesn't?
I salute the courageous explorers who do these experiments even without the benefit of expensive laboratory testing equipment to find out exactly what it is they're drinking. I don't have the cajones for those kinds of experiments, since it could possibly be the case that Rawkcuf did indeed enjoy the best damn glass of mucor ever.

Anyway, we need to get some of you who have easy access to amanita tissue to try this.

even if he gets a copy-write that won't prevent his stuff from disseminating on the web under the Fair Use Doctrine

just doesn't quite get it.
a pity he's being so unprofessional about this all,
just another sign of dementia, imo.
