New take on Amanita growth

Yeah, I'm all for trying new things, but this time I think I'll pass.

I'm going to give it another shot in a few days in a cleaner environment. I'll post any successes I have and will try to forget this horrible horrible failure. :)

Wow, that looks tasty! Seriously, thanks for posting that, I think it's more evidence against this idea actually working and for my "mucor smoothie" theory.

This still leaves open the possibility that mucor is psychoactive, of course, and one of the steps listed in the How-to that was quoted from another website said the brew needed to be pasteurized before drinking it, which I wouldn't think was necessary if it were all Amanita.

Remember this picture from way back in the thread? Looks familiar.

And then there was this quote from doc_kunda:

could possibly be black mucor as has been recklessly thrown out there
time and time again, with no proof or scientific data or even a well
written argument as to why the poster is so certain of what they say
in light of the above information.

Grain culture started March 24th and harvested March 26th going into dehydrator.

So for my next grape juice experiment I should pour some store-bought pasteurized juice into a jar, decline to add any amanitas, then try to grow black mucor by itself? Well...I needed to go buy some more supplies anyways. Sure, I'm game :)
