I saw a thread somewhere here with a TEK called "A Cold Extraction by Soliver".
Can someone please point me to it?
Thanks

He has kept it in the cupboard with his coffee mugs because if there is one thing he has never forgot to do in his adult life, is to have a morning cup of coffee. See's the jar, and shakes:)
May strain today if plans turn out. I'll be sure to let ya know about the outcome:thumbup:

Hmm, his kitchin hasn't really been all that warm for the 3 weeks they have been soaking. Maybe he should let them soak a little longer to make sure it has worked. He'd hate to discard it to find out I didn't get most of the actives.Yeah Rev,, i'de like to hear how that does for ya...I'm curious about the lack of amber coloration...Not that the color directly equates to strength, because it doesn't ...Just never had one that's clear like that'n...
How sure are you, Golly, that the amber isn't the goodies?

I just never had a jar that didn't stain deep amber..Thats why i was curious..
Yours may well be potent, but you could always save the mush after filtering
and add more Alcohol to it ,just in case the first extract is weak..
I normally add Ascorbic acid to mine - maybe that's what gives mine more color..
The pic shows the filtered extract B4 evapourating down...

While we're posting observations here... Golly - do you think the batch above is a little light on grain alcohol? My jars usually have more clear alky on top than what I see above. Again, not sure if that's important or not. One way to find out :)

what would be the benefits of going through extractions as compared to storing them dry?
