of course a peyote growlog will take a couple decades to complete
but we're here for ya

Unless you graft them, that is!
But regardless, as long as I live and have a computer this will ALWAYS be my HOMEPAGE!:headbang:

Right..., thanks for reminding me..lol ! ;)

So..took some pictures today of those little seedlings...

There are now 14 little peyotes germinated,..and if you look closely ,one (seed)row in the middle didn't germinate, and I think those seeds are burned...it had gotten too hot, the first three days in the tray,so I gues the middle part was the hottest place in the tray !?

Well here are the pics again...

Rock on! This is exactly what I've been looking for. I've made a couple attempts at growing but haven't had much success. With your help, I can do this now. I just happen to have the 3 ingredients for the soil just lying around the house. I will definitly try this tek. Thanks, Spacecake!

After you sterilize your mix in the microwave, do you add more water to the mix (mine is bone-dry) or do you just rely on the wet verm top layer?

You have to add water when the substrate is dried out...
..after adding water you can allways heat it up again for a short time if you want too !
Or just add some hot boiled water.

I wanted to thank you once again, Spacecake. I made a tray with 3 rows of 7 seeds with the mix you suggested. Exactly 7 days later, I saw a sign of life. It's now been 10 days and I count 4 growing. Thank you very much! This was the mix I was looking for.

When I get some more seed to try out from flowers I think I will use just sterile desert sand as its much finer in grain size than the verm or perlite I see in stores, I like a very fine medium for seed starting!

I'm glad it worked out for you Stroph...!

Now watch them closely !
Make sure they get the perfect lighting and moister etc..
If they get to tall, then they need more light,if they start to turn dark..then they got to much of it !

Good luck !

Nice job Spacecake:cacti: Nice pics also, and nice setup Hailey.
How much verm did you put on them would you say? I was thinking when you said you placed them on a heatmat,
do those have cords which generate the heat? If so maybe the one row that didnt come up was on top of one of the cords.. Keep us posted on the lil guys growth and how they are doing.

I wonder if placing a piece or cardboard on top of the heatmat helps?
If the flourecent lights keep the incubation chamber at optimal temperatures would a heating mat be needed?

Looking good Fucgubarn !

Here are some of my Peyotes (from a total of twelve),that were grown from seed...
I think they are 3-4 years old,..and they didn't had any sunlight for a whole year, because of a move.
They also got a very heavy Sunburn after the move last year..,but they recovered very good !

Those are nice pics, Rodeye. It's back to the drawing board for me. I went to move my tray to a new location, and I dropped it. Needless to say, I felt like throwing it out the window. I was so mad at myself.
