the center will get fuzzier and soon you'll see a brownish grey growth. a few days later it will swell and gain a pinkish color, by that time there's no doubt. on my plants, the first time they begin to flower it seems it doesn't develope all the way and kind of aborts. the second time - about 3 weeks later - the flower fully develops and opens. i have one now that's grafted and it seems to be following this pattern. it's bud looked to be just a day behind the other i have growing on it's own roots. it's already opened and withered, while the grafted plant's bud just seems to do nothing, like other's first flower attempt. i'm not sure if this happens with all lophos or not, but mine have done this.
i do know it's a good idea to just pot them and let them go. multiple repotting is bound to slow the growth. if you come up with a question you can't get answered here julie has always been kind and helpful to me.
they really cool plants, huh? lotsa luck with the seedling grafts. for some reason mine haven't worked out, from the pix your's look real good bro.

well today the bud i thought was going to abort opened. this is the first time one of my plants has produced a flower from the first bud. the plant that flowered last week is producing another bud:headbang: i'm hoping that two plants will flower at the same time so i'll be able to cross pollinate. we have a long growing season here and i'd like to get some seeds sprouted and maybe grafted before fall.
