Here's a Sparassis herbstii (Cauliflower mushroom). It's edible and was brought home for further work. http://mycotopia.net...=1&d=1158762796
Here's a Boletes of some sort I think. Anyone know for sure? I brought this home just in case. http://mycotopia.net...=1&d=1158762796
Here's a snail on an old rot fungus of some sort. I thought it was a neat picture.http://mycotopia.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=34521&stc=1&d=1158762796
Then the rot fungus in whole. http://mycotopia.net...=1&d=1158762796
Here's your standard pear-shaped Puffball (Lycoperdon pyriforme) sheading its outer shell for spore release. These are edible, but supposedly are flavorless. http://mycotopia.net...=1&d=1158762796
Puffball with shell completely gone.http://mycotopia.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=34524&stc=1&d=1158762796
Puffball releasing its olive-brown spore mass when tampered with.http://mycotopia.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=34525&stc=1&d=1158762796
These look like Trametes pubescens gobbling up a stump.http://mycotopia.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=34526&stc=1&d=1158762796
I suppose these are Honey mushrooms of some sort. That's what I was told at the Shroomery anyways. The daddy-long legged spider certainly enjoys whatever they are.http://mycotopia.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=34527&stc=1&d=1158762796

By the way, the Puffball in the pics are only edible when much younger than the one in the 1st. pic.

Here's a Boletes of some sort I think. Anyone know for sure?
Looks kinda like a Ganoderma species and the pine needles indicate that if it is, then it is probably a Ganoderma Tsugae

Thanks guys! Glad you enjoyed them. I may have some more soon. There were several spots were mycelium was present in soil or wood that hadn't fruited yet. It should be neat to see what appears.

Hey M1a. Got any idea what the heck that Boletes looking specimen is?
No Idea man. It does look to be a bolete, but it looks really deformed. Too hard to tell.

To me, the cauliflower mushroom tastes like lobster when sauteed in butter. I was using Sparassis crispa (eastern cauliflower), don't know how the other ones taste but I bet they're just as good. I've been looking for them for three years, which was the last time I found a decent fruiting of them where I'd been looking...yer lucky!
Puffball spores are fun and useful, in case anyone didn't know... the spore cloud is good for cuts or wounds; the spores help stop bleeding and are antibacterial. They are also explosive. Hold a lit lighter near one next time you puff some spores out...neat little fireball...

I'd really like to know what the huge cluster of mushrooms is? I'm thinking some kind of Agaricus maybe? But, that's one hell of a cluster if I say so myself, in which I haven't seen Agaricus cluster up like that.
