I have been a gratefull amatur mycologist for just a couple of months now, and i have found that i am pretty good at it (if I may say so myself)...

I am now toying with the idea of studying the subject on a more proffesional level....(i was hoping to become a magic mushroom trader, but with recent attempts to make the misunderstood sacred mushroom illegal here in the uk, this looks less likely)....

My question is, how many of you have studied mycology and how did you go about it....do you have to do it as a part of a plant science course, or can it be studied on its own...

If you're wanting to make money, I'd say fly to Olympia, WA and go to the Stamets seminars. They're geared to the small commercial grower. It would be a great start.
