Thnx...It's harvest day for the Shredded mulch Sub, day 21..
The two primary reasons for the speed is the liberal use of fresh spores and the fiberous nature of both the spawn and the sub...

In the second pic ,the sub was made with verm and growth is a bit slower..
The pins may be larger though...

awesome golly! you are the 'pointman' of fresh experiments. :) so that second pic there is verm is in the substrate or in the casing layer?

I'm curious about your statement on the casing layer for pinning... is that with pans you are talking about or cubies? I'm curious 'cause I just isolated my first pan clones and planned on casing with just verm; wondering if i'm wasting my time with that and need to put something active in the layer mix. thanks :)

Yeah Faht, i was refering to the Panaeolus..I have not had any luck using plain verm for a casing layer, which is kinda wierd cause they do fruit using sterile potting soil.. I would at least mix in some compost, soil or similar..
thnx again guys...

******21 days******
you beat your goal by 3 days dude.

awesome, I think those other ones you called
slower will still beat the 24 day mark too.

You need to go into meteorology with those predictions!!!
