Also, empty plastic two-liters will work, but if you're going to store them for any length of time, oxidation will make your product taste funny. And plastic sometime allows off-flavors from your fridge through too.

If you want to start your own batch from scratch an old shaman man once told me that you can grow it with just tea and sugur (back and green) but you have to make sure that the tea still has all the micro org's that are in the leafs, so i gues you could grow your own tea. I guess the mass produced tea is radiated. And just grow it as normal (it takes a little longer to get a shroom), once the bacteria starts to form strings slowly add a warm mix of tea and sugar about 1/4 of the batch.
Oh and you can drink all the tea you want a day. You just have to work your way up. You can start out with 6-8 ounces a day depends on how strong the tea is. I dont know about all kombtea's but mine comes out at about a ph of 1.7-2 so if you can handle the acid. Btw i've been drinking it for years home grown and store bought it's better than good for you! :)
