FOAF has had trich contam problems, as many have, and has decided to get serious. FOAF previously had the attitude, as many new growers do, whata the heck, will give it a try and see what happens, and with not suprisingly inconsistent results.
So FOAF has done some reading and the peeps (i.e. pros) that get consistently good results follow strict sterile procedures. For example, see Fhatster's clone machine (http://mycotopia.net...t=clone machine) and other teks.
Another great example of taking sterile procedures to the max, are the teks by monstermitch at the shroomery (e.g., http://www.shroomery...914/an/0/page/0).
So FOAF has ordered all of the necessary equipment (including lab coats), plans to be monstermitch-like with respect to sterile procedures, and hopefully will turn a new leaf on battling trich, and other contams, and so as to hopefully get consistently good results.

Sterility or lack thereof!

Be advised that there are "levels" of sterility as it may be put. For example what is called a class 100 "clean room" where computer chips are often made, contains roughly 100 particulates in each cubic foot of air in the room. What you are trying to do is to give the particular organism you wish to grow a good jump over the competition, even a good sterile uninnoculated petri dish will grow something over time due to microbes passing the "gooseneck" of the 2 plates. Good Luck in your pursuit of cleanleness. ( meant literally, not as a jibe.)

my foaf is still taking it easy, but then again he's doing it as much for the crop as he is doing it just for fun
