Now this is the exact reason I'm such a germofobe. I watched this video in high school once that had similar experiments. You've probably seen it before. I can't remember the name of it, but it had shown stuff like people coughing and sneezing in slomo. And bacteria on food in refridgerators. Carpet beetles feeding on human skin that has been sheaded. Gross stuff like that.

I would think that as long as some of the bill is left after fruiting, a bank would have to issue a new replacement, seeing as how it is still representative of a specific amount of spending power.

over half of the bill must be intact for a bank to honor it.

When rr first posted that he said the money stayed in tact. Money circulating with mycelium embedded. COOL!

All the money was spendable when removed from the casing. The bank replaced all the U.S. bills without question. I just told them it got left in my backpack for a month after hiking through a storm, and it got moldy.

the federal reserve will replace any dollar bill that has been ripped destroyed or whatever, so long as they can identify the bill and it to be real....

Rodger, did you have to PC the bills before trying to get them to colonize? I would imagine all of the bacteria and garbage that is on money and would fight the mushroom mycelium.
