hey everybody good to be here, ive heard great things about this forum and it's members
i recently bought a pressure canner that can hold 7 jars
and some b+ spores from ralphster .

its been about 6 weeks, the jars have been around 80 degrees most of the time, about 4 weeks ago we bought an aquarium heater and a cooler

how do i know when the rye is ready to be cased?

i am workin on this project with a friend eventually we want to make a terrarium out of one of those plastic martha stewart closets

he wants to grow out these jars and try to isolate a rhizomorphic single strain is it worth it?

weve got about 3 months to complete our project and our goal is to yield as much as possible

there we go, thanks darksideoftheshroom
first pic
there is some rust on the top of the lid, where the holes were drilled for injecting the spores, is this anything to worry about? can rust cause contamination. so far everything in the jars looks good, but i noticed a slightly paranoia inducing smell from one of the jars the other day

did you try hitting the top of the lid to loosen the berries from the lid? use a hard-rubber thing. i don't believe rust will harm mycelium. but nothing bad with be too worried. jars are my babies, wouldn't want to any of them fail. but looking good man.

i wouldn't worry about rust. i use a lot of rusty lids and never had a problem.

thats a relief to know the rust won't be a problem
i tried hitting the jars, those berries are really stuck on there

so is it worth it to try to isolate a single rhizomorphic strain
or would that be too time consuming?

should we just do grain to grain transfer and make a bunch of jars?

i'd wait to see it fruiting then clone one to get an isolate .
