So I was stumbling through the woods, looked down and found this. The metal is thin and weathered but solid. It says "Woodward's" on the handle.

Not sure but I looked up a few spoons new and old on the net, and almost all of them are almost trowel shaped, so that you could balance it I suppose. I didn't see any round ones.

The script is close. On the spoon the 'W' has loops on either side and the 's' is in coursive. But this could just be an earlier trademark. Prolly not an "absinthe" spoon but a cool treasure nun the less. Is there a way to test for silver?

yours appears to be silver-plated on brass,
might try a silver polish to remove the tarnish.
proly about 100 years old or so...
