I have never used one but I thought it was a big exhaust that you worked under. Ok so that is one good use of a HEPA for microbes. It blows on your project?

I use PCO tech so my whole house is microbe-less, I wouldn't say free cuz it isn't 100%, 99.7.

These Airpura units also come highly recommended by IAQ types:

However, it is hard for a consumer to make a well informed decision with all the web hype, false advertisements and reviews, pyramid schemes, etc., surrounding air purification.

for our hobby
we do not require an entire house to be permanently free of microbial life-
all we need is to knock the dust out of the air
in a small lab area
for long enough to do the work.
the cheap little units work well for that purpose.

Agreed! Can't wait until the dual element ionizer arrives!

As far as the home, I am thinking of something to help with our allergies and the air purifier units seem to be a good way to go.

Our home does not have central air. In homes that do, a good HVAC filter is the best first line of defense it seems.

Sorry to drag my own thread off topic hehe!

The AspenAir A-12 ionizer arrived today! It is a tiny little bugger.

Can't wait to try it out in front of my poor man's flow hood!

Cheers!

you won't feel/notice anything
but after it runs awhile in closed room
you can smell a little ozone 'freshness'.
