Salvia is a very unpleasant high for me. I had one experience in a "flat" universe, that was interesting, but overall not what I like.
Very pretty plants though. I ate many a Coleus while living down S. only to find I was after the wrong one...
Peace,
DaveT

Not sure if was cold temps at night, 38f-40f or the bright sun shift, but the two sally girls turned very very yellow.
To experiment, I zapped em with some miracle grow at the base right where the root ball (pete pellet) went into it to see if the needed a little nute jolt.
1 seemed to like it, one did not :) lol ... but recovering. The one had it's leaves turn a bit of black, probably from the shock of nutes like BLAMO... probably shouldn't have gone nuts wit nutes, but was experimenting.
1st pics, are of the orig plants from above pictures. Since the warmer temps, new growth is apparent (also this is after the fert nuke). (1st 3 pics, are plant 1, which got black leaf things. The last 2 are of the other plant, which seems to have liked it more, and has went to a more greenish color with nice new growth spots.)

These 3 pics are of a new clone I just placed outside... not in full direct sun, mostly shade, about 2 hrs of 4-6 pm sun directly. Had moderate roots (sorry, forgot to take a pic :( ). Shall see how this baby does outside. Also, in fresh nice potting mix :) Not the sloppy yard dirt mixes the others are in :) lol Tis warmer now, so this should help see if it was colder temps or just the shock of lots of light.
Here's the pics of sally outdoor #3.

Yo yo yo, talk about bushy.... more updates soon, again, sorry for slightly older pics...
I don't know if it's the fact that June hit, the warmer temps, teh fert boost, or what...but OMG, bushy they be getting now... and new one also growing nicely...
temp range was so odd.... strange spring...
wait till you see the "BUSHYness" of them... I pulled off a handfull of yellowing leaves today. The old ones. New stuff is nice and greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen :)

I put the ones on my window-sill outside.. but after 30-45min, the leaves are wilted to crapola... So back in they go.
IMO, the sally is very adaptive... just takes time... I mean, I got those two in full sun, the one in 2-3 hrs direct sun, others on sills, and NONE in tents right now... She DOES HOWEVER take care and time to get going... not very forgiving :)
More to follow...

i tried this
but mine all eventually died
i think outside is just a bit too harsh in my area
low humidity and high heat were just too much.

It went from being in the low 40's at night and 60s in the day to over 80f now during the day and not below 65f at night... :) strange weather this year..
Let me get some new pics... post them shortly after watering. :)

Some asked about what strain these were. They are the Hoffman & Wasson strain.
