A foaf has this loggy going. Its GT strain,But check out these wierd looking fruits, they just wont grow either, seems the veil wont break. They have been like this for atleast 1 -1 1/2 weeks. He's confused if its a cubie or not due to the looks and slow growth.Could this just be a screwed up strain or deformity?

The third pic is a small fruit that he picked and the bruising looks green,it could be due the colour of the stem.

They're dry.

That was always my experience with very small logs/baskets. Your strain might produce a great flush, but there's not enough moisture there to sustain it. Bummer. Pick them and enjoy. You can double-check my diagnosis by picking up the log. I'll bet it's very light and you can tell from the weight that it's too dry.

Your right the log is very light.I'm gonna pick em now.

How long would you recommend a dunk for? Bleach dip?

I just lay those in a big rubber maid bin on georocks with a bubbler line underneath. You get big flushes and they have plenty of water. They usually continuously fruit for a little over a week then you just takem outside make outdoor beds that fruit for a month or so. If you want some more info I'll do a small write up for ya but I am sure you can figure it out.

I love that picture with the Budweiser top. Those two go together like cheese and wine

so one should dunk a strawlog prior to pinning?
or only if excessive moisture loss has occured?

thx in advance, for the clarification :)

be well

straw by itself,
sans any dung/compost or rez effect,
doesn't hold much water, relatively speaking.
so if colonization was prolonged
or pinning is unduly delayed-
then a pre-flush dunk might be good.

Great pinset, its too bad there wasnt enough moisture to go around. Still i bet you got some potent little chubbers off that log.

That's a cute flush. Maybe after the dunk you can get some bigger fellahs.

I had some texans that kinda looked like that cause I was gone and left the air pump on, then the substrate dried. They were like little hard, under developed mini shrooms. But HOLY SHIZER were the some potent little things.
