That way the heated water wont rise to the top and shut down the thermostat.

I have also found that heatbombs work mutch better laying on their side.
That way the heated water wont rise to the top and shut down the thermostat.
now that's a pretty good idea.
but wouldn't placing it upside down
[heater at bottom]
be even better ?

:teeth:nice save?Do i get an 'A' for EFFORT!?
seriously, the more i think about it the more i come to realize metal wouldnt really hold any advantage against plastic in that plastic is sort of the medium between glass and metal as far as conducting heat is concerned,
what comes to mind readin the thread starters post is maybe the Gatorade bottle is too 'rigid' or thick a guage, which, gatorade bottles usually are. . .

their coffee in jail ?
i mean, i saw some guys in a jail i once passed thru long ago
and they had these little devices that hung on
the side of the cup
and a thick metal 'coil' hung down into the cup
and heated the coffee pretty fast.
seems it was safe enough...

A 50W heater keeps a 28gallon rubbermade @ 75
I tried the electric tea makers/cup warmers they kinda work but they make it humid, so they are only good for fruiting.

the pads will be lining the walls
nothing will even be touching them
i thought the only time you have a fire hazard is when resting weight on top of them?
thx
