Tell me. Which one would you consider for a clone, and why?
Would you wait for another flush or two and see if a nice big one pops up?
I want to hear what you all look for in a clone. I'll give you swims choice and why later...

reason for me...timing for most of the pins seem to be equal. Mostly even throughout with fewest/lessor percentage of aborts.

My choices were made because:
1. I like cloning from a young fruit from the first flush. I like the first flush because the younger the myc is, the more vigorous it is, and it is also less likely to harbor any contams. It is hard not to look at a massive beautiful fruit from a third or fourth flush and want to clone it, but IME you won't see that trait again until that clone is grown out to the third or fourth flush again. I'm not sure why fruits from the later flushes get so big, but I always thought it was because the myc is weaker and damaged, and produces less fruits, so the fruits that do develop, can pig out on the remaining nutes and moisture. Not sure on that, but it makes sense to me.
2. I look at the individual fruit, without any consideration to the surrounding fruits. I personally have seen no advantage to select a fruit that is in a cluster, because some of the best clusters I've held in my hands came from clones of a stand alone fruit.
3. Like Crazy1, I like large, strong, and healthy looking fruits, and is why the one on the top left was chosen. It was given a squeeze test first to see if it was solid. If it felt like it had a hollow stem, it would have been ruled it out. The one on the bottom right was chosen, because you can just tell it is going to be a fatty.

man reverend, your threads blow me a way man. love your work!:bow:
i sometimes like cloning a pin if its a head starter. one that beats the entire flush to fruit. sometimes you get that one fat pin that just tears through all the others... thats the one i like cloning. looks like thats the one you picked.
if i have multiple candidates and can only do one clone. i feel for which stem feels thicker or meatier if the two fruits are almost exact in comparison.
