Starting Isolation on Agar

Hello once again, Mycotopiates.

I have recently started agaring ala the Buckaroo Banzai Tek. Thanks BB and Hip!

This is a great way to do agar, IMO, because of the use of an airport and syringe to fill the petri dishes. I would guess that one could do this in a clean bathroom or what not without a glove/still air box. I used a still air box, though. Here are some pix:

Nice, I'm getting ready to start my first agar project as well. MS and clone. I'm going to have to look into that tek. Keep up posted.

When you store plates, (especially for incubation) you might try putting them lid down, it will keep all that condensation from forming on the lids. (and keep that moisture in your agar)
