African Transkei cake salvage on compost

Africa Transkei multispore solution
not a big grow, only enough to sample the strain
however a horrible blue / green mold
near the injection sites plagued most of the jars.
All the good myc chunks were brushed off and
dunked in icy cold fridge with a capful of peroxide.
then after a few days the myc was spawned to a
mix of 70% agway c-poo / 30% coir.
this time instead of oven pasteurization
the sub was loaded into 4 Qt jars and PC'd for one hour.
pins after 5 days. no casing layer.
here is how they looked in the morning
then later in the evening before harvest
i never heard much about what size the African Transkei tend to be :eusa_thin
either way they seem to be aggressive and fast colonizers.
also there was not many aborts.
here is the largest mushroom from the first flush
cap diameter 2.5" and 9" tall,
thats why Cubes are so much fun :amazed:
hopefully get another flush or two
and especially some nice dark prints.

i was hoping for both eyes to go at the same time
maybe another flush? ;)
yeah cheshire - a pumpkin would be a great idea
probably could get a pretty big crop from it too :headbang:

I second that pic of the month nomination, that's awesome.
thank you  it is a strong strain,
this one was not from a print but from TGS.
here is a little early Halloween spirit
with the same strain in the eyeballs

here is flush two
spotty..looks like a little un-even distribution.
but imo any fruits are good fruits
lots of nice prints this time too to keep the strain alive.
plus the syringe only cost $5 from TGS special of the month.
a good price for almost an oz of dried african cubes
not sure about flush three after all the heavy sporulation all over the sub :ballbat:;)

mutation of the caps.
i have seen it before in pics here
it almost looks like the stem is growing through the cap at first

that was lurking about or to the anti-bacteria i was spraying around
