hello,
i dont want to post a new thread, so i write here,

i have a question, because i started a project with panaeolus goliath in monotub, the sub is cow poo w/straw, it was inoculated from multispore to popcorn, now there are some pins, i think a week and i will harvest the first flush, and put here some photos,

the question is what to do between flushes, dunk the substrate(for example in fridge) or mist, the problem is that i dont know how to keep the proper humidity level, so far i've always do invitro bags, so there wasnt it a problem, i've dunk the sub after harvest for some hours and it was all i've done for humidity and watering, if the misting is the right way to moist the sub how frequent must i do it, and how much water

sorry for my english
thanks for help!

excellent. casing looks a little dry but next time you will get it down. :headbang:
spread your casing out a bit more even. mist it a day or two in. just don't overmist. maybe check your moisture content.
harvest. then place thin casing over it and mist. wait a few days..
next time cut your straw smaller so its not so leggy.

also, use a lizard screen cage to sift out your dung. it appears there are big chunks and rocks in it. but it may be visual.

pan mycellia is pretty fragile
so you might even
use a syringe to inject water into the casing-
small amounts in many spots, as needed.

yeah i find that technique alot easier too hip. I find that if the casing starts to dry out before its ready for the FC, its much better to go around the mycelium with a needle than mist. Misting causes problems for me if there is growth on top of the casing, just seems to sit there and cause problems.

thanks for quick professional answers, i will try to moist the casing as you said with the syringe and see what will happen, its the first try from multispore so i didnt expect large harvest, but my main goal with this try was to gain some experience with this species

i will post the photos if something positive will happen

greetings from poland
