i havnt been doing this long but from what i have read you playing with that contam is asking for more trouble than its worth....im not possitive but i think about the ratio of (yes to no cut out the contam) is about 80% no dont just thow it out and the other 20% is maybe it might work try if you want so i just would go with the 80% and throw it out.
im jsut a newbie talkin so do what you like and good luck on your grow man

take care

well i happened to keep 1 of those jars i was talking about in the begining that got contamed with cobwebs the reason i kept it was it was kinda white in all the enok spots but now it looks like the mycelium is fighting the cobwebs back so im gonna hold on to it to see wut happens just for experience has any one ever had a jar do this ? I'll post some pics soon

Good luck man. . .and yeah, I wouldn't bother with screwing around trying to save a contaminated jar. . .just dispose of it and try again.

If you follow most TEK's to the letter, there's less chance it'll go bad. Trying to "wing it" with teks is usually asking for trouble until you've done a few rounds successfully and understand the underlying principles better.

Cobweb is usually present in moist low fae locations. I would recommend going really simple on lid design next go (four holes in a canning lid with foil over the top).

I'll bet that you would be pleasantly surprised if you left the in the incubator and didn't look at them for a few days or even a week or so.

just to give you some motivation to stop:

my FOAF is in the middle of his first grow. He used to check them multiple times a day. Now he sometimes skips a day of looking at them and is amazed by how much faster they colonize when not touched

notice how high up in the jars your growth is-
right up into the very top layer
but little if any at the bottom of the jar.
that's not so good,
better to have the reverse situation,
don't want that top layer getting wet
and it takes a long time to finish the bottom
so when one inoculates
one should strive to ensure that some of
the inoculant trickles all the way down to the very bottom.
