This will be my first grow since my return home.
I have decided to grow HAW on Popcorn, then select the best specimens for cloning.
I used a basic popcorn TEK that I found years ago and have been using ever since.
Here are the pictures of the initial procedure and the jars as they are today.

I used two bags of popcorn.
Soaked them in water over 24 hrs.
Simmered them for 45 minutes, then PC'd for 45 more.
Used a HAW multispore syringe from SporeLab (hope they are really HAW).
And here are the pics...

Yes, I just poke a hole or two and cut strips of tyvek from the post office and close tightly. Then pc. Has always worked fine for me!

Alrighty, well it seems as though these puppies were ready to transfer into whatever they are to be grown from. I have decided to go with some cheap (albertson's brand) throw away Tupperware containers. When these are finished, however, I will be reusing them. About half way through I realized that rather then use the black trash bag to block light in each container, I could place a trash bag piece between two containers stacked inside one another. Then i can check for contams periodically. I have decided to go the easy route, and have used straight Verm as a casing layer, which has been cooked in the micro for a few minutes. These "trays" have been placed inside my Incubator again to allow the mycelium to reestablish itself and to begin to poke through the Casing Layer.

yes, yes, i thought of using coir as well. Alas, my local pet store was out, and I have just been aching to get these puppies going! I will most probably be using coir in all my subsequent grows.

Finally, I have some pin sets to show. Not a VERY heavy pin set, but I'm hoping that whichever specimens I choose to clone will give me a nice and even pin set.

I also am doing a strain isolation at the moment with HAW spores from an old print that I had laying around. I'm on the second agar/agar transfer and i am starting to develop some nice Rhizo growth, so I'm hoping that this also will give me some better pin sets in the future.

Heres the photos guys!

well, ime what a substrate doesn't give in pin sets it gives in weight of what pins it did produce.. at least with a healthy substrate. could just be a few early birds as well... looks good! although it does look quite wet... you may get healthier fruits by leaving the top off the container for about an hour everyday to help dry things up a tad, but the pins do look healthy.. just wouldn't want the water to thwart development. :) popcorn looks well prepared.

Aghh yes, the wetness. That was a mess up on my part. I have a humidifier running off of a timer, and i accidentally set it to run for half an hour then off for a hour, all day long.

OOPPS!

Well, I have fixed this problem and the humidity in my greenhouse has fallen from 100% to about 95% (LMAO that the digital Hygrometer read 100%)

I think i have solved the problem with the wetness. Here are some updated pics. They are actually a little more along than this, I took the pics a few days ago.

Nzo, I feel like i failed you!

I got a little busy over the new years celebration, and before I knew it they were already dropping spores.. So i was unable to get any good photos of the first flush.

I will try to post some photos from one of the subsequent flushes.

Here are some pics of them on the dehydrator. I have disengaged the heating element within the dehydrator and just run the air through it.
