btw
one can daisy-chain remailers
for even greater security
e.g. have a pkg. sent to a re-mailer
in canada
who sends it to another re-mailer
in new york
who sends it to another...

Below are some links that I found in a very short google search for remailer services. They vary in price structure and services…so before doing any of these research all the hidden fees and what they will and won’t do for you. The last link is especially cool in that you are basicly renting a physical box in Vegas and can peek into the box on the net and they are willing to use the bulk mail boxes/envelopes and mail a bunch of stuff to you for actual postage + $2 for each time you have them ship. They will hold indefinitely. I am not specifically suggesting using these links for your Safe Addy…just that there are a ton of remailer sites out there and here are just the first 5 I came across that didn’t look too overpriced.

The down sides to daisy chaining is the cost of mailing something goes up dramatically and the timeframe gets way long and increased exposure along each leg makes it possible the letter/package will get lost or confiscated. The upside is if you can afford the money and the time, you likely will have a completely muddied up trail.

The company I work for (at least one of the peices of this Conglomo) is in the process of developing a special type of x-ray machine with the capability of doing spectral fingerprinting of what is INSIDE an unopened boxcar, truck, container, package, breifcase...nominally for port security at first but then with an eye on postal security. By "fingerprinting" I mean that the x-ray spectrograph will have a unique signature for coffee, weed, hair gel, parafin candles, perscription medications, potato chips, cactii, etc...anything in their little database of substances...and can do scans in seconds per cubic foot of volume. I was horrified last month at the meeting where they unveiled this as a project for Homeland Security. The technology doesn't exist fully yet (so stop hyperventallating people) except as a few prototypes to be installed at a few airports within a year. Looks like in about 5 years it might require a TOTALLY different strategy to share goodies with friends. The mail, whether USPS, UPS, FEDEX, or whatever carrier, is going to be fully out of reach of the counter culture within 10 years, IMHO. Spore prints may be able to slip through, letters being much more stealthy than packages, but sending more than a few seeds of whatever by normal means is in the crosshairs of the Man.

another upside-
you stay out of jail.
the cost of re-mailers is small
compared to paying
lawyers and bondsmen.

Great ideas in this thread. I may have to consider a remailer in the future.

Would these methods be overkill for ordering cacti (not peyote!), viridis, etc? Has there ever been a case where the man has done a sting delivery for items such as these?
The legal status of these items seems ambiguous.

large amounts [several kilos of viridis, etc.]

So buying 10-20 kilos of MHRB is a bad idea?

You can have mail delivered to vacant houses and pick it up at your leisure. Have it addressed to "new resident" and it helps if it looks like "junk mail". Just remember it is a Federal offence to open and put in or remove anything from anyones mailbox other than your own.

Just a thought..can remailers recieve UPS, FEDEX and the like? Some people I know use those methods. And like I said waive the sig. Even at a friends house. Send it to a different name, don't open for a day. Then your friend can just say that it was left at their door, they don't know the person. Girls are the best, IMO, the cops believe hot little blonde girls easier than they believe my smelly long haired friends...:)

i am shaman stopped selling mhrb after an importer got arrested and is being tried for it( read he skipped out of the country). so unless you are buying from out of the country i don't think there is a reason to worry yet.

That importer was probably importing many kilos of rootbark, wouldnt you think?
I am ordering from oversees from a sponsor, however i was under the impression that if customs seizes a package that contains illegal substances one just receives a nice love letter from them instead of the package. This has happened to several friends with things such as switchblades and prescription meds. Is this not the case?

not always.
sometimes they make a 'controlled delivery"
[cop dressed as mailman]
and bust the recipient
or at least search their residence [probable cause]

Heh i may have to postpone ordering until I can get somewhere good to send it.
I had planned to send it to the house of a buddy who is much less paranoid than I am. He also doesnt have anything the piggys would want to find in a search. However, I couldnt live with myself if he got busted on my behalf. Guess I will have to check out remailers or something...

one could make a new identity for oneself and have mail sent to the new you... rather complicated and probably more illegal than getting weird shit in the mail tho.

I'd like to touch on when mailing to a house
using Resident instead of a name when sending to
a Post office box...use the name BOX HOLDER
