many many spores = only a very few growing

OK, well it sounds like a research project is in order .So i need to get a scope with PC imaging and magnification up to 400x ...Sound about right..?...
I think Easter is a good time to start a fertility investigation eh..!

Have used 5 sonic syringes. I see an increase in speed of the first signs of germination then an increase in the speed of colonization. Not a lot of experience at 60 ccs of spore water, but I am positive of this result. Cilly

There was no water in the container. I had brought this up in a different thread a few weeks back with no answer. The unit is identical as the one pictured here - http://cgi.ebay.com/...ssPageName=WDVW
The container is plastic. I had the syringe filled with water (and spores). I took the filled syringe and figured the vibration from the unit would have the same effect.


you'll get better results
no doubt
if you filled it w/water,
much more
points of contact=more sonic energy transmitted
=faster break-up.

a FOAF recently used a very small cheap unit
[only runs in 2 minute increments/cycle]
ended up running it
a good 40+ minutes total
before all the clumps broke up.
but
they did break up.
