Hey guys,

I took some straw and pasteurized in a lime bath and spawned 1 pint of Hillbilly WBS.

I am wondering if a casing is in order, or if I shoud just poke holes in the terrarium, or ad a piece of tyvek to one big hole and fruit direct from the sub.

Have a look. Suggestions are appreciated as always...:bow::bow:

its looking good so far. you can go no casing but i would case that.

looks good, if that's just straw and wbs i'd case like eats
as there's not much there to hold water for big flushes

Yeah I've done both many times and cased allways wins out. But, it all depends on how you view it. If the extra weight in shrooms is more important to you then the time it takes to case then its worth it. If you dont care about the extra weight and you'd rather spend the time on something other than casing it then do that...but I'd case it.

Verm peat and lime sounds great. I'd go with 25% verm to peat.

How did you pasteurize the straw and lime? What temp?

I will get a more updated pic...

I pasteurized in a lime bath with the straw submerged in my PC for 3-4 hrs at 160 deg.

I prolly added 1/2cup to a cup of pickling lime to prolly 2 gallons of H20

Yeah, cm, I was hoping the pictures were older than the post. YEah man they should be close to being finished now. Stick it in the casing material in the fridge. It should be fine no need for freezer, imo.
