Straw log spawned with 3 pints of GC brf, and wrapped in burlap. Colonized while in a sterilite container for several days... I plan on removing the tape on the top once it colonizes more... Burlap is 100% organic from lowes.

I've been wanting to do this for a while, since I have a source for free burlap bags. Beats plastic in my opinion. Please post photos when they fruit.
Thanks,
Llama

Burlap works great as long as you keep the log wrapped with plastic or in a tub as shown. The plastic keeps it from drying out. For outdoor projects, you can lay the spawned burlap right on the ground.

hmm, how about colonizing some burlap, and laying down an outdoor layer of compost, the burlap, and more compost?

Mycelium mats from burlap sacks? :D
