DIY Spawn Bags

Grain and water combined in a polyproylene bag.

Bag is pulled thorugh a polypropylene ring (cut from a big syringe)

The opening is stuffed with polyfill.

And this is covered with aluminium foil to prevent it from getting wet in the pressure cooker.

These bags should be inoculated with liquid mycelium since they cannot be shaken.

yes. its an ancient tek. you can find it in the old archives here. works ok just dont let the plastic touch any metal in the PC.

The bags can't be shaken, but couldn't you just knead them like other bags??

yeah, just leave more air space, less grain.

yes, in those pix. but the tek is adaptable for any substrate mix.
