I took alder chips and poured some water on em. Boiled in the microwave for a few minutes. My intent was to leach some nutes from the chips. I put 5ml of karo and poured in almost 100ml of the alder juice in, combining the three in a pint jar. PC'd for 15 minutes (a little less, more like 12 or so) at 15psi. Shot some spores in and now I have growth.
I also left in the little bit of chips that fell in. They have disappeared now.

I need to get some advice on two things. One how does this thing look?
It was the same color after pc so dont confuse the color for scorching.

Second, how much longer would you suggest letting this thing grow out?

I know that I have probably missed the dead line for a fall harvest?

That looks good enough to innoc to me. I have innoced with a similar amount.

Also you will have no problem with a fall fruiting as long as you play it right. Use that to start a bunch of grain spawn before you start spawning the chips, then you will have sufficent chips for fruiting by fall. The 'deadline' is somewhere in the summer as long as you play it right.

It's ready to use.

I'd think this would be prime time to get fall/winter fruiting woodlovers in the ground.

I agree. Looks ready to use and early spring is a good time to start the bed.

What exactly do you plan on doing?

I started an LC for some Woodlovers using a similar Tek. I left the chips in the water overnight, strained through a paper towel, and PC'ed. Looks the exact same color and texture. I am going to run some shitake in mine.

Good luck!!:weedpoke:
