They are Ps. cyanofibrillosa correct?
A close relative to Ps cyanescens.
Fibs are quite common in that area, Ps cyans are a bit harder to find. But nothing like a good hunt!
That is one monster patch, any guess what type of wood chips they're growing in?
Reminds me of this patch of Fibs...slightly North of that find. ;)
"Psilocybe Cyanofibrillosa was first documented in 1995 and placed into the Stirps Cyanescens.
This species is autumnal and lignicolous, living in soils enriched with deciduous wood debris -
characteristic of riparian woodlands of the coastal regions of the Pacific Northwest of North America.
Strongly bruising bluish to indigo-black, this Psilocybe species features a hazelnut to caramel-colored pileus
and a stipe whose base radiates clusters of white rhizomorphs. This novel species is delineated through a combination of
morphological and microscopic features and possesses unusually high concentrations of psilocybin, psilocin and baeocystin. "

So waylit, you're saying those are edible with psilo? wow, I don't think we thought they were "good" the last time I posted these...If those have psilo, damn, what a nice find indeed!
Hells yeah Doob....Cyanofibs are edible and very potent, a much heavier trip than Cubs.
Not quite as strong as Ps cyans but they do contain high levels of psilocybin/psilocin.
That patch is truly a gift to stumble upon! :)

Thanks Alan, I'll change the title. There may be another copy of this thread somewhere also so I'll make sure the title states it correctly and copy is removed.
