still no spores ?
still nothing. when i find my slides i'm going to take a gill sample and go in for a closer look. hopefully it's not a sterile isolate. i doubt it, but if so, i have at least 7 more isolates to choose from in storage.
i've seen first flushes do a lot of strange things in my days.. maybe the second will be better.

and where does one get these? Psilocybe villarrealiae, P. caerulescens.
pranksterhad success with both species and has taken some prints, but i haven't seen him around for some time. he also sent me those two species.
you could ask him if you manage to reach him
i'm trying villarrealiae atm but i have only one jar and it's slow
next week when i have more time again i'll start a new grow with P. vill. and P. caeru.

here's a few more pics from tonight.
came home to a bit of a suprise.. SPORES!
unfortunately, the majority of them seem to be on top of the cap. there's quite a bit of air flow in the FC. even at 91% rh .. and after looking at the spores under the scope they are very small. about 1/3 to 1/2 the size of cubie spores. probably blowing all over the place, which explains the lack of accumulation on the stem. there was a little tonight however :D
i'm trying to print the two largest now. hopefully i'm not too late. if so, at least now i know what to expect.. and i'm toning down that tropicaire  i won't miss them again :mistrust:
much

any theories as to what would cause this? gases from the mold? simply running out of good substrate?
i would have never figured semper to be an invitro fruiter. although, i should have guessed when the first jar to produce side pinned and dug downwards. there were also a few pins forming further down, but i didn't consider these invitro because it was a cased jar.
Great job Chosen one. I am glad you were able to get them growing,

a swab with q-tip on cap could salvage spores for agar ?
probably. i was able to scrape them off easily with a needle. an inoculation loop would probably work as well.
heh, the air pump was cranked all the way up. i'll have to watch that knob.
glad you could stop by MJ :)
thanks again everyone!

Patience is a virtue in this hobby. Got to give it to you, I dont know that I have that much patience. I do try to hone my zen skills tho.
Beautiful mushrooms TCO.
lol, i don't know if it's patience as much as it is being just too damn busy to care! :p these hobby mushrooms are really right up my alley speed wise. it's the medicinals and edibles that i want to go fast. ;)
thanks one

i moved the caps over after 24 hours.. hoping to get duplicates. heh, wrinkled foil.. i was movin' pretty fast.
there's one large fruit and one small one left on the casing. let's see if we can catch those too. ;)
