This has been a great thread TCO.

This species has been noted as slow growing and highly resistant to contamination and decay, which explains the descriptive name “semperviva” which means ever-living. This is especially appropriate considering that this sample was originally collected over 50 years ago and is still going stong.

beautiful grow TCO!!
what temps do these need?

so far they have experienced a range from 65 deg F to about 90 deg F, but they seem to do best around 75-80. there's been a few hot days lately that may account for some of the improved fruiting.. come to think of it, the temps began to rise during the last flush on the first casing with the arrival of summer.

thank you all so much again!

Zap's next ;)

a few more of the large casing before it was harvested. heh, i thought these were a bit small, but i had forgotten the 1-3" of stem that often hides below the casing layer.. especially when side pinning. a few even had a good 4-5" hidden as they came from underneath. makes for an interesting harvest. good thing semper kind of likes the abuse.

all waiting for prints.. i'll be sending this week
