this is how i glovebox.
i get a large box, large enough to work in, small enough to be placed on a counter and still be able to see in.
i cut a rectangle hole on the 'top', and duct tape a rectangle sheet of plexiglass (found at most any hardware store) over this 'hole'.

using a yard bag or contractors bag (found at walmart or hardware store) i put the box in the bag.
this is the time to spray a little lysol and oust if you are going to.
this is now also the time to layer the bottom with foil. this helps keep contams that have gathered on the bottom of the box floor from kicking up as you lift and set jars down.
put the jars and whatever else needed inside the box.

secured with clothes pins
this is also when i go take a shower and let the air settle
before showering, i turn off the AC and any ceiling fans, and close any windows that may be open. i also do not smoke during this time, and confine the dogs to another room in the house. i want the air to be as calm as possible because floating dust is full of contams. (i clean the counters and sweep the floors before even starting...)

using a razor and cutting the bag i make a hole revealing the window
http://mycotopia.net...=1&d=1211346925
two small slits (one for each arm, 3 if you're a freak) just large enough to push my hand through...
http://mycotopia.net...=1&d=1211346925
this is where i put on gloves and my dust mask
i like to make the hole small and let it stretch as i push my hand in, it makes for a tight seal
http://mycotopia.net...=1&d=1211346925
glovebox getting some action
http://mycotopia.net...=1&d=1211346925
when i'm done i remove all foil and throw away.. i keep the box in the bag and store like that. even though there is a couple holes in the bag, it keeps the box pretty clean from dust.
i use a new fresh bag each time.

notice in the above picture, you can see where i cut two holes in the box for my arms, that is the front. the back is left open, the box is mainly a frame, the bag is the barrier.
if you are not going to be using it for some time, everything can be thrown away, and the plexi glass takes up hardly any storage space.
as always, becareful with open flames in closed enviroments...!
i hope this came out ok, i'm a little baked and wasn't planning on writing a tek

hey. suckerfree thats a nice setup....just a thought. if you buy some of those yellow dish washing gloves instead of latex you'll save money since they are reusable and sanitize easily.also they will cover the part of your arm that is exposed in your box, reducing the chance of contams even more.

hey thanks for the thought...
i get those latex really cheap, 10 cents a pair... i like the convenience of having a box of already clean gloves... and i like the skin tight fit, allows my hands more control... also i might even be saving money... could a 1.50 bottle of rubbing alcohol disinfect 150 yellow gloves? maybe...
as far as contams on my arms, i shower and scrub them really well before working.

keep it simple stupid.

having a box, trashbag, razor, sheet of plexi, and a couple pieces of duct tape in front of me, i bet i could throw this thing together within a minute.

Using this guide as a reference a foaf of mine devised the following device. He used a garbage bag to cover it and substituted saran wrap for plexiglass.
