innoculated with texas
5/8 made it
2 got green mold
1 got black mold
1 was given to a friend to do invitro for himself
4 were cased with a pint of moist verm and left covered in a cool dark place for 48 hours
then i went to smart and final and got a 12x18x19 food tray thing
put some perlite in it
wet the perlite
and set the casing down
here are the pics
pretty standard just wanted to share. i am doing an experiment on casing layer, nooks and crannies versus smooth surface, which will yeild more, or is it irrelevant? in nature the earth isnt perfectly flat...so we'll see what happens.

That's good'ol cobweb mold. I should say not so good'ol huh? Don't worry though. It can be rid of easily with some straight H202. If you have a clean spray bottle lying around, put the sprayer on the H202 bottle and gently mist the tops of the casing with it. 1 good spray and that's it.

Ah! It just pops up from time to time. Stagnent air is the main cause. Don't worry. It's easily beaten with 3% H202.

those are some awsome shots of cobweb though.

Yup thats def cobweb. Like said before use some h202 and that will usually eat it alive pretty quick. In the past this has happened to me when I Incubated too long before birthing and also it has helped me in the past to wait until myc just pokes through casing, then chill for about 12 hours in the fridge, then birth. I like your container, that things sweet. If I was you Id hook up a small aquarium air pump and also fan a few times a day. This will help with air exchange and if you make a small co2 drain that may help with your cobweb as well. Good looking work tho!

pretty wild pix, doesn't really look much like cobweb until you see the close-ups.
