these coffee buckets were painted
green brown and black to blend in with garden like surroundings
and placed outside as the weather outside has been humid and hot

Thanks to spacecake for the genetics

2 waylit style cakes were spawned to
mycrotopia's pre-pasteurized donkey-doo / straw mix
were broken into large chunks
into the donkey-doo straight out of the mail :D

there were only two buckets initially
they colonized right on time

the first pin appeared and soon i had my first pan trop :headbang:

then a small cluster popped up and quickly matured

the second bucket showed one pin at first
then was joined by two more

this cap was larger than the first large pan from the other bucket

these buckets are still flushing but only a few pans at a time.
the weather outside has been perfect lately so
more stealth buckets will be added to the experiment

I love the buckets Bri!

My Pan's aren't having such a good time outdoors. It cools off too much at night for them.

I'm glad to see these outdoor Pans!

I was just getting ready to use the same buckets for some colonized KSSS, but I was having trouble deciding what to use as a cover. What are you using?

Hey Mycobri! If ya use a little gypsum in your casing it will throw many more flushes and help with contams. Great outdoor grow!

no. most of it was cut smaller
those big pieces were just what came out when i grabbed a few
handfulls out before freezing the rest for later

Thanks. i will use gypsum next batch
that probably would have helped prevent this contam :drk:

the pans continue to grow even with the green casing layer

Hope you get buckets of 'em..
Do they have drain holes in case of rainstorms..?

thanks Golly. they do not have any drain holes
the rain sits on top and does not seem to go through the toothpic sized holes.
the plastic clings shut pretty tight
so the water does not weigh it down much.

the plastic does not stop the critters though
a few small animals have clawed through the press n seal
and somehow smaller creatures keep getting inside and munching the caps :eusa_thin
