some hole shots. some of the caps are starting to turn dark blue. these things are getting very bulbous just like pf classic. so excited. this is the first try at the penis envy strain. no experience at all with any. but hope to have some pe, pe uncut soon as well.

From what i gather, PE is a slow fruiting strain, taking a long time from pin to maturity when compared to more conventional cube strains.

It really is pretty.

Such a unique looking fruit.

fp, your right it is very slow. but i think worth the wait. these guys are getting so bulbous its difficult not to take pictures.

also, the 2nd bin is starting to pin. it was isolated about 10% got hit with the mean green but it was dealt with quickly. im finding this ape to be more risilliant than the pf classic. many times on bulk subs the pf classic kinda dwindles on to death and doesn't colonize the substrate. and often, its very slow. even slower than this. the spawn run was just about normal speed compared to most cubensis.

bin 3 had some uncolonized areas under the substrate get hit with green mold. it sucks bc that one had all the sprouts in it. and it looked extra fluffy white. fluffier than this sub. but its about 5% left of the subs. but hopefully that one little piece will fruit lol.. waste of space if you ask me but this strain is so cool that ill let it slide...lol..

so here is a clone done via 9er tek. the bruising on the inside stem tissue is almost blue black. very intense.
the stems are very solid at this point, not spongy at all like the pf classic.

peniistain.jpg

here is the pulverized mycelia in a 60 cc syringe after 9er tek cloning.

penii9er.jpg

i am still finding less air exchange required than all other strains side by side. its only being fanned once a day. and it seems to be maturing at a regular speed. a bit slower than most strains but on line with pf classic.

well workman and monstermitch were right. not that i didn't believe them but up until 5 days of fruiting they seemed to be doing great. just tanked overnight. once these babies opened up they started stalling out. the fanning was increased but it is not able to be done except maybe two times max. so most of the caps turned dark black. will post updates soon. just fanning the hell out of em just in hopes they mature more.
they looked fine and healthy until about day 5 into fruiting. too busy atm. just not enough time to give em the tlc.

so last night from the time of evening when they looked fine until this morning they looked like this so all it took was 8 hours and they tanked. they were fanned decent last night but doesn't seem like it worked much. probably time to harvest now. or do you guys think i should let em be another day?

the caps are turning black and some of them look spotty. like the original color of the caps kind of a greyish yellow color. then turned black.

here are the pics. check out the one with the spotty cap. kinda scary lookin but its not a contam. either way if this is when they need to be picked bc more fae isn't available, then im still very impressed with the results. its like blue, white, grey marshmellows lol...

right now the bin is just sitting open air with the lid off in the room with the fan. lets see if about 20 minutes of this helps out in a few hours. we will fan the hell out of these for the next 8 hours str8. but not really able to fan during the day.

from what i've seen that's the best they get man. they sound like at first they'd do great in an invitro bag.. I would say they more then likely would benefit from more co2 to get stretchy longer, but I can't really say that from experience because mine tanked before it got to me.
Their potency makes up for their size, they'd be compared to copelandia like i said.
which makes them pretty valuable to me!

anyone think this is a bacterial contamination? bacterial blotch. it doesn't smell so. and i pinched one of the stems and it feels regular.

im looking at monstermitchs pics and i see a few caps doing this very same thing. hmm. but most of his caps stayed the white color. these initially were a greyish color. the other tub has grey pins as well.

well for comparison here is the 2nd tub and the one with the big white ones is a piece of monstermitch's picture. didn't want to steal it just for comparison. but i saw a few caps do this. seems like all the caps of this flush are doing this. it was fanned this morning heavily but definitely had a good 9 hours before another fan happened.

well they were harvested and look like blue white marshmellows lol. get harvest pics son.
