Dunk/ No Dunk Comparison

The tub without casing was dunked for 8 hours while the other tub was misted like a usual casing.
both were done around the same time and both were done with the same methods, recipes and tlc.
the only difference was the casing and the dunk/no dunk.
these pics should speak for themselves. although results may vary. both clones as well.
for some reason the cased tub kinda stalled out a bit at fruiting. its coming around again but half the flush is aborting out.
this is just one side by side comparison. just for reference.

Dunk 'em and don't worry about casing 'em. Those are two pieces of advice I follow to the letter every time...
Nice pics, by the way.

granted the casing has fine verm/coir in it, but either way still more maintenance, more headache.
got to a point where the casing couldn't be misted anymore due to too many pins and was real lazy to sit there with a syringe. and both these tubs had the same amount of air exchange. two heavy fanning a day along with two open holes on the sides.
in another dunked tub. water was sprayed directly on the substrate. its coming along nicely like this decent fattie tub below.
this is first flush of each respectively.

half of this cased tub was harvested for prints prior to this picture.

did you dunk then crumble?
no, this was a bulk substrate that was grown out first flush. then dunked after that. its one big solid mass.
what was done was a clone was taken via 9er tek. then this clone was injected into pf jars as masters.
these were then scraped with a fork into spawn jars made from wild bird seed.
this was then spawned to a bulk substrate and allowed to colonize, pin, fruit, flush.
then it was dunked for 8 hours total. drained out and placed back in the fruiting area.
also a sink spray nozzle was used to hose down the pinning surface on this bulk substrate. this seems to stimulate pinning or fruiting for the next flush quite well. at times you can see fruits popping up the next day depending on strain and temps.

whoa wait, the dunked one gave 3oz and the cased gave 1oz?
